Netflix Users Dump Cable TV, But Cable Execs Worry About Apple

A number of Netflix users feel that they don't really need cable TV anymore. Many Netflix users have downgraded their cable connections, and many others are expected to follow suit. Cable execs said Cable TV leaders felt that Netflix was not much more than a movie-rental service, and said that movie rental services have coexisted with cable TV since a long time.
They argued that the threat to cable TV didn't come from Netflix, but from Apple's iPads and smartphones. They quoted the capability of Apples devices to display all the TV content they wanted through internet, and said that it was a very dangerous trend. They said that they've decided to fight to keep control of the TV content.
